Great route today, not too long but plenty of climbing on quiet back roads. We must have climbed about 1500 feet in the first 8 miles. Stopped of for lunch at Cruseilles then down to the spectacular bridges at Pont de La Caille. I had often passed this bridge on ski transfers but this was the first chance to have a proper look at it.
We then had a bit more climbing to do before we got our first views of Lake Annecy
It was then a great descent down to the valley then followed the cycle lanes into Annecy.
Annecy is beautiful but pretty busy with loads of folk milling around. Typically the campsite is well up the hill above the town, but after pitching the tent we cycled back down for a wander around and something to eat.
